About My Services, Me and My Experience

Sarah’s Cardboard is a metaphor about everything you can do with cardboard. Though simple, recyclable and found in every home; cardboard's value changes with creativity and community. Trading cards and divination card decks may be nothing more than pictures printed on flimsy cardboard, but with the right story they curate unmatched monetary and emotional value. The same can be said for structured conversations designed to provide lasting insight and that is what this service is designed to provide.

Sarah’s Cardboard was created after a few years spent learning tarot to perform it at a festival as a favor to a friend, but through my learning it became much more than just a party trick. What was intended for 1 night as a prop for the vibe of the Halloween night quickly turned into my deep diving into the world of divination, channeling and spiritual analysis. Tarot, oracle and other forms of energy analysis come with a firm level of responsibility that should never be sacrificed.

My ability to extract narratives, archetypes and tropes from inquirers has strengthened through my divination journey that began in 2022. My shadow work went hand in hand with my divination learning as I strived and yearned to be able to exist in each Major Arcana archetype at the same time. More than once I have been asked if my services were available for hire by friends and strangers alike, and every reading I have given both online and in person still sit with me in an honorable way. I created this service to be a container that honors all readings I perform and to not allow the messages to slip into oblivion.

My goal is mutual clarity and forward momentum for both me and the inquirers. I value the opportunity to follow along in the client journey, receive updates and continue to do readings for them as life continues. Spirituality, divination and soul purposes are already so intangible and hard to translate to the modern, digestible language. Have you ever tried to explain to your friends what you are going through and it feels like you are running every sentence and explanation through google translate for them to understand you? Just for it to still somehow not sound right or hold the same gravity you feel? That is where I step in and perform my best work.

I am not a fortune teller, licensed therapist or guaranteeing results. I am the person you come to to clean up your life story into terms you can work with, reduce the trial and error you face in translation, and cheer you on as you make the decisions you want in life. I am not the on-call witch who performs every spell you have on your mind, I am a resource you have to step out of your way to access and then do all of your own work. Results come through your exploration of life and navigation in the seas of reality, I just provide you the route and the compass.

Services FAQ

I have been a nondenominational witch for 15 years. What started out as young exploration alongside my older sister’s and mother’s practices, turned to a private practice that expanded in my adulthood. My practice is rooted in information amassed through several practices such as wicca, esoteric experience, ancestral work and a blended pantheon delve into a handful of organized modern and ancient religions. I am not wiccan.

I work closely with the Hellenic and Norse gods, devotion structures and general correspondences in my work, but I do not limit my work to only these deities. My work has begun expanding into researching Hoodoo/Voodoo to assist in my advocacy against utilizing these practices by those not apart of the closed practice. I believe it is my responsibility as a white complexion, non lineage linked to hoodoo, to speak up about these practices being unavailable to those not a part of it. I work ethically in the confines of understanding and advocating against extracting work from closed practices.

Witchcraft, to me, is the physical bridge between intention and action. I do not believe it is a fast tract solution to grants you what you want, but instead a tool to analyze what is stopping you from it. I work primarily with trauma first before moving onto the more fun, free flowing aspects of witchcraft. Healing self wounds, community/systematic wounds and ancestral wounds will be the primary focus of any initiate into my advisement or mentoring sessions. You do not step to the temple because you are already healed, you step to the temple because there is something within you that must learn to co-exist. The same is applied to tarot, witchcraft and advancing in life.

A few things I have worked on through my witchcraft tenure;

  • I developed, hosted and coordinated a peer mentor study program for witchcraft for beginners in 2020. I broke down common witchcraft studies into sections for each peer to take on, study and develop a presentation to teach the other peers over the course of a few years until the program was handed off to the next generation of beginners as a self-sustaining program.

  • I read and annotated “Ego is the Enemy” by Ryan Holiday, using each chapter to shape and reflect the way I navigated my career progression before deciding to pursue my own business in intuitive advisement. This book is one of my favorite resources that does not involve or mention witchcraft or shadow work. I recommend it and frequently provide it to clients to work with in between sessions.

  • I enjoy writing tarot archetype essays where I produce visceral and visual examples of what tarot cards embody through a magnitude of daily human life examples. I like finding metaphors that can help tell the story of tarot to everyone, even those that don’t have tarot knowledge for themselves.

Outside of witchcraft;

  • I am an advocate for People with Disabilities, honoring and dismantling systematic oppression for minorities, and volunteer in my community.

  • I enjoy writing, fiber arts, nature conservation efforts, fitness and health, Pokémon!

  • Traveling is something I am interested in, but only achieve when it is sustainable and financially responsible. I find it fun to discuss and plan road trips, micro day trips and staycations!

  • I'm active in the local metal scene as a crowd member and a stage hand when needed by friends that are performing. I have assisted organizing and setting up not only music shows and festivals, but also corporate large scale events that provided me the experience to help locally on smaller scales. Event coordination, stabilization and optimization are things I excel in.
